So welcome back to our humble little home on the web. Actually, we didn't go anywhere. Those of you who use IRC would know that we are still here at: #wannabefansubs @ irc.rizon.net . After all most of you know the story of how we were abusedly attacked through a DDOS (see Wikipedia), and caused problems for our previous host.
Ever since, we have been trying to establish our home on a new dedicated server, but there seems to be several minor issues still unresolved with it. Due to constant pressure and demand, I have decided to put back the Forum until the new server is perfectly ready for the final move. Note: this current server is only TEMPORARY. But don't worry, your posts will be carried over to the destination server. Have fun, and we hope to be bringing you more SR as we can. P.S 1. The wiki is down due to maintenance. It will be back up with the new final server. In the meantime, you can use Google's caching services for old pages, try search terms like: kido madoka "Wannabe Wiki" site:wannabefansubs.net 2. As of this post, the latest aired episode of School Rumble is Episode 11. Episode 12 is scheduled to air Monday, July 26th at about 2AM GMT+9. 3. There have been very convincing reports that School Rumble Ni Gakki (Season 2) will be atleast 26 episodes. Cross your fingers, for we're crossing ours too... for the same reason... Finally! I'm glad the forums are back!
The one thing that really irks me is that Bantam became such a huge douche about everything. That page was really smarmy-looking; it makes him look like a giant victim. Uch. Grow a pair, Banny. You guys need some cash to establish a new home or something? Let me know.  |

Yay, but questions still arise...
With my pathetic coding knowledge (it could fit in a small thimble) I know that the attacks had to do with the structure of the site, not the server. Why are you changing servers? It won't fix anything unless you're redoing the problem areas. Or giving unlimited bandwith all the time... |

Even computers that are NOT websites, such as the Rizon networks. Attacks are NOT caused by a site being a certain way. An individual or group of individuals decide to attack you. It's kind of like saying you get beat up cuz you're black. You blame the black man or you blame the racists? You do have to realise that these attacks could happen again, even if the boards are moved to a new server. I'd say this is just a stop-work solution. Also, the Wiki is definitely one part that I'm really really concerned for.
I think Batum is right on the mark here. I'm a part time IT support developer for my uni and believe me, the Wiki is something that I wasn't a big fan on. If these boards goes down again, I'm not going to come back as you'll probably do the same thing here. I'd say proceed with caution WF staff. Please don't ignore the people that know their stuff... Hell, it's about time...
