Iron Art Competition Ii: The Avatar, creativity--> take two Options

Well, I'm reserving this space to put my avatars into. I'll edit this post as I finish them off. That is, until this this gets closed.

1. Artsie Avvie
This one is a bit of an experiment. Here's the avatar - 140 x 98.

The original image comes from Chapter 152 of the SR Manga - I added the colour and the words. I've turned the blanket into a sort of metaphor for the barrier between Eri and those around her - her image. Of course, the alternate analysis is: "Yay, colour!"

The size restriction makes it a bit tricky to pull off. Here's the original sized version from the manga: (Note, the following isn't an avatar - it is too big.)

The image is done using the standard colour layer approach. However, instead of using several layers per colour, I burn/dodge individual layers to create a shadow. The blush is blended in to the skin tone by some smudging.

2. Standard Avvie

You've seen this a lot of times, but I thought I'd submit it with a bit of an explanation. The reason that I've stuck with this avatar for so long, despite there being plenty of other scenes for me to work with is that it successfully encapsulates so many aspects of Eri's personality. There's a bit of arrogance and an attempt to seem unaffected, followed by a covert look showing concern in what others think of her.
The animation is taken from Ep.21 when Tenma and co. are discussing the barber incident from Ep. 20. The animation is pretty much taken frame by frame, but at the end, I inserted in the reverse animation of Eri's head swivel in order to have the animation loop without jerking. Each frame was cropped individually down to size - which was the trickiest part of creating this animation. I used the door as a reference point in the animation for the crop. There's a slight frame shake as she swings her head, but it adds an interesting effect, so I kept it in. Total size - 135x140.

Ahh! Someone else submit an animated avatar. Foressense shouldn't win by default! 

Read the rules, it didn't have to be animated. Actually, it takes very little effort to make the animated gif from just taking frames from the source so naturally still avatars with a lot of work put into it has a better shot at the higher score. I'm confident that the judges are aware of that. My only regret is not making the first funny one the correct size, I already deleted the source material so it's a no go.

Oh and judging by my previous "war record" and every thing I've entered, it's safe to assume I'm not going to win yet.

*Nvm, didn't realize BLUE_rex is doing them separately... anyways seeing as there is a 5 limit, yes I have the best chance so far to take the animated section with 4 entries but it's still too early. We haven't seen what Swampy has done yet. The still section is going to be tight with all the entries there.

Uh no Juice I do NOT have time as I already used up the max 5 limit.
