Nobody seems to create a topic for the "last" episode of School Rumble, perhaps everybody is waiting for a WF sub^^. I got the DVD today and I was wondering if somebody can translate for me the last menu entry that leads to the San Gakki trailer? The question mark makes it interesting^^.
Here's a screenshot of the menu:  I haven't watched the episode so far because I'm not up to date with the mangas, but a took a look at the ED, and an almost 4 minute ED is even for an OVA a little bit uncommon^^. At least the they created a new version of School Rumble 4ever for the OVA, but I liked the old one better. Nakamura: Are you associating with any lady at the present time?

There is such a summary on the #25 DVD, but when I click on this menu item on the #26 DVD the promo video is shown (the one that was released before San Gakki). Thanks for starting the thread... I've been waiting for one but here it is now...
Well, i can say that watching the ending (anime version) makes it a little more SR than reading it from the manga. It gives you the feeling that "hey, it's school rumble... and it will be school rumble... and no matter what happens... this is what it is..." compared to the feeling of lack of closure from the manga. Honestly, cutting critical points from the story (and adding some minor details to attempt closure) was not a bad idea at all. The ending was clean, no hassles and frills right before it... and it would make an average SR fan sad not because of lack of closure, but because the series has finally come to a close... As for those who read the manga however, it would be a different view (and it would rattle them) since critical points in some pairing developments have been killed all of a sudden... here's a short roundup: FLAG TRUE ODOU ODOU KITE ONIGIRI well, that's all i can give now...XD EDIT: spacing was too high... impulse... it's all about impulse... if you don't control it... you're dead.

I felt like the last episode of the anime was saying “everyone will die alone now(exception tenma and karusuma), and all conflicts are resolved now bye bye suckers…”  It must suck for Eri and Yakumo, as they watch Harima get pie shot in the face they think to themselves “My god I gave half my life to win that man’s heart and failed this miserably?”  Don’t get me wrong-- great episode --loved it, but I watched this show for the characters not for the tasteless ending.  |

I've got to admit. Even though we should be thankful for any anime material we're getting, it IS a tasteless ending... Kind of felt like "Conclusion to everything!^^ ...OWARI!!! "
XD Then again, maybe who knows... They may totally surprise us with a brandnew SR 3. For now I can enjoy FMA2 and HnI2 as my top favorite animes in 2009... 2009 the year of returning animes.

I've seen the last episode of san gakki from another fansub group but of course I'll get the best version from wannabe when they sub it.
Anyway, the thing is that I didnt understand what happens in the end, it's too confusing. Who does tenma choose harima or karasuma. What about yakumo & Eri ? The poster of sangakki shows Miko chan married but nothing appears in episode 26 concerning this matter. All I can conclude is that the author did the 2 episodes to help rise the sales of the san gakki manga and make fans buy it, then a movie might be produced to end it all. Of course all this is from my imagination but it's all I could think of !  |

Yeah they're up to something... the same with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2, when at one time it seemed the project was posponed, then it wasn't. (atleast I think that's how it went).
The animators and everything and everyone work on Schoolrumble3 may be up to something like this aswel?  They know a lot of people love school rumble to guts, they may aswel pull out a prank, til a fan gets a heart failure?   I hope so! (except for the heart failure)2009 the year of returning animes.

I hope there will be a third season but sadly, I don't think it's going to happen
and yes.. They left out wayy too much stuff that pretty much kept us going when the ending of the manga was near.. |
