Dear All Our Beloved Staff/Fanboys/Fangirls/Skeptics/Former-of-Such and simply anybody still reading this forum,
I type here today with the biggest bag of mixed feelings I've ever had. Today I do what I should have done but didn't have the heart to do... I've been too scared to admit it, but I loved the people and the anime too much to say goodbye. I can't express how much fun I've had, and how this will always be a chapter in my life that I will remember. We started in October 2004 and have outlived ourselves, and maybe right now we're just looking for some sense of closure. Our life circumstances have changed... (psst, that long awaited gf has come) and if there's one thing I learnt, everybody needs to move on. So here it is... goodbye! (>_<) The time has come to go. We can't push on any further, so this is our letter of resignation. But before we go... I want to say that I remember all of you who have been with us! A big thanks all of our supporters and fans who have ardently followed our work. I thank all the people who have been with us through the years, and even those who worked against us. Maybe you'll just let this be a fading memory. Or maybe you'll look back one day and smile at all the silly hours you spent with a bunch of virtual wannabes. Let me reach out by name to all the boys and girls (or once so) who have crossed paths with WannabeFansubs: Ohmer - good ol' founder and group clown Zodiacers - the restless founding translator lainlover - was he even part of the founding? Niels - our first webmaster! It's been fun. I know I personally haven't contributed much to this forum, but I've always had fun here, School Rumble was the meal, and WF was the restaurant. A great combo. I doubt I'll ever forget my time with SR too.
I know this seems like the end, but if SR ever continues in the future, hopefully we'll have a place as good as this to meet again. That being said, the last piece of the puzzle, chapter 9 of SRZ, has been translated guys! enjoy! See you around! |

It's been more than a year since I last posted in these forums. All these months I've been busy enough to even stop watching anime. Although, i'm still learning japanese and now watching some J-dramas to spent time in these winter vacations.
Still, it's sad to hear these forums are going to be taken down. And I'm going natsukashii about the little things that happened while I was an active member. I must say that I'm very thankful for being able to discuss about anime (and many other stuff) with all you people. Thanks, and live your life the fullest. - gast!  |

It was one heck of a ride. Meeting people, talking about SR in all possible aspects... all of these I will never forget (even if I have been here for only a few months...)... Thank you everybody for the great times and memories we all shared together.
Thank you Sozuken and the team of Wannabe Fansubs for bringing us School Rumble and a forum that took a good slot in our life. This forum has been in my bookmarks since 2004.  Heck, the IronArt and WF channel's in IRC still pop up everytime I log in because I never take them off. I enjoyed messing around with all the fantastic characters and people of this community, it was truly a great ride. Swampy, Foressense, Juice, Hayashi, Hitotsu, otacu, wark, angelsthesis, hanai, eAthena, townberry, shepard, albert, lord_jag, spiritus, gast, Roque, .....there are so many of you. Thanks for the "1337 editorz", SOz. I enjoyed the time I spent with the group and wish I could have stuck around longer. It's sad to see you close down, but that's how it is sometimes. I have since moved on and founded my own scanlation/fansub group, FAKKU-Subs. I wouldn't be where I am now or have the skilz I do if you wouldn't have given a noob a chance. Hit up Nikon on Rizon sometime. I'd be nice to catch up.
